Today I am rounding up the best Sims 4 CC hair and hair mods out there!
Whether you’re looking for Maxis Match hair, male or female hair, Black or curly hair, I’ve got all the Sims 4 hair cc you need to take your Sim’s look to the next level.
This post will be a constant work-in-progress because my favorite Sims 4 hair CC is always changing.
We just have so many amazing maxis match hair creators!
As you’ll see in this post, some of my favorites are Oakiyo, Arethabee, Okruee, and Ah00b.
I tried to round-up a diverse option of Sims 4 hairstyles for y’all to look through: curly hair cc, long hair cc, short hair cc, afro hair cc, Black hair cc, and of course male hair cc!
But, as usual, all of them will be Maxis Match hairs, as that is my preferred game aesthetic.

A popular style from the 1920’s is reimagined by Okruee in this elegant Verona hair. A sleek and stylish bob haircut with face framing curls laid flat reminiscent of classic slick bob styles from that era. This style is one of my favorites despite the unexpected small ponytail and undercut in the back.
Romy Hair by Okruee
Many of my sims sport curly hairstyles and the Romy hair is in a steady rotation for me. I love the subtle fullness of this hair along with the strategically placed ringlets in front of the eyes for added intrigue. It’s also hat compatible so no replacing necessary for summer or winter hat looks.
Kendall Hair by Okruee
The Kendall hair is business casual personified. Relaxed and neat with a hint of weekend edge. This loose side part masculine hair comes in all 24 EA colors and is hat compatible.
Isabel Hairstyle by Simstrouble
Simstrouble is undoubtedly one of my favorite Sims 4 cc hair creator! The Isabel hairstyle is a beautiful long wavy hair available in 4 variations. It’s hat compatible in all 24 EA colors plus an ombre accessory for added individualism.
Shaye Hairstyle by Simstrouble
Is it even possible to have too many curly Sims 4 cc hairs? Obviously a rhetorical question because the answer is No, Lol. This shoulder length Shaye hairstyle is my current favorite for both female and male sims. The ombre overlay and flower accessory are icing on the cake of an already gorgeous hair.
Bedelia Hairstyle by Simstrouble
Simstrouble has become known for offering numerous variations of their hair styles but the options on this Bedelia hair is unmatched!. This hairstyle comes in 6 variations ranging from a messy beaded long ponytail – perfect for Coachella to a slick pulled back bun ideal for any occasion. It’s hat compatible and the beads come in 10 swatches to coordinate with any outfit. I can’t get over the versatility on this one.
Denise Hairstyle by Simstrouble
This hair is named after its inspiration – actress Denise Richards. This carefree layered look is a recreation of the popular 90’s blowout hairstyle that Denise sported on the television show “Friends”. Available in 2 versions, 24 EA swatches, and hat compatible along with ombre overlay accessory.

It was love at first sight when I saw this heart shaped Sims 4 cc hair bun from Thatonegreenleaf. Inspired by items from the “Lovestruck” expansion pack, this adorable style fits perfectly with the romance theme. Sleek and elegant with a touch of playful whimsy is the best way to describe this updo. It’s available in all EA colors plus 8 bonus swatches.
Dalisay Hair by Ice-creamforbreakfast
I was over the moon when Ice-creamforbreakfast edited this hair from the “4 Rent” expansion pack. Originally this elegant low bun had a scarf intertwined amongst the clusters but thanks to Ice-creamforbreakfast it has been set free and available to use for any occasion.
Braids & Curls – Janey by Daylife Sims
Daylife Sims has become one of my favorite Sims 4 hair cc creators. Their attention to detail really shows with collections such as the Braids & Curls set. The Janey is a gorgeous half-up-half-down braided hair with beautiful ringlet curls on the ends. This hair comes in 3 variations and extra claw clip accessory swatches in the hat category.
Braids & Curls – Tobi by Daylife Sims
The Tobi is another part of the Braids & Curls collection. This hairstyle is a popular combination of individual straight braids in the back with cornrows in the front that merge in with the individuals. The front is adorned by 2 curled braids to add extra detail. This hair is hat compatible and available in all 24 EA swatches plus extra color accessories for the dark roots effect.
Brielle hair by Daylife Sims
The Brielle hair has been one of my go to hairs ever since its release. The fabulous large barrel curls are perfect for formal, party and everyday if your sim is That Girl! It comes in 2 versions and 24 swatches but with the addition of color accessories the combinations are abundant.
Karol Set – Hair and Accessories by Daylifesims
The Karol hair is an alluring wavy style that has optional rhinestone adornments. The rhinestones can be added along the scalp part line or scattered throughout the waves themselves for extra sparkle. This hair is hat compatible and comes in 24 swatches plus 25 bonus color accessory options to really make your sims hair unique.
Skai Hair by GegeSims
GegeSims is top tier at ethnic Sims 4 cc hair representation. This Skai hair is one of the latest in a line of curly/coily styles that help many players create authentic sims in their own image. I love the fullness and coil definition of this hair. It comes in 6 variations and 24 EA standard swatches.
Holtzmann Hair by Simandy
I never would have imagined falling in love with the hair from a fictional mad scientist, but here we are! The Holtzmann is a commissioned hairstyle beautifully done by Simandy. If you’ve seen the movie “Ghostbusters’ ‘ from 2016 then you’ll recognize this hair but I’ve got to say that this lovely less frazzled version is definitely a favorite of mine. It is available for all frames and comes in 24 EA colors plus 40 additional custom color swatches.
Depoofa Hair by Marso
I really liked the new bob cut hairstyle that came with the most recent update despite the overly full nature of it. Well, Marso decided to de-poof this hair a bit and it’s so much better now! You still have the nice layered waves with less bulk. They also did a version without the babyhair in case you don’t want it or would prefer to use a different one.
Kat Hairstyle by QICC
The Kat hair is a good old space bun style with some long messy strands to frame the face. You can never go wrong with space buns, I use this style for just about any outfit except formal. It comes in 24 EA colors and there are also versions for toddlers to adults.
Lovestruck Edit by RavenSim
So I have really been enjoying a lot of the latest hairs from EA and the “Lovestruck” expansion pack gave me a few more to love. This Sims 4 cc hair edit by RavenSim tweaked the medium/long style featured in the pack. This lovely base game compatible version adds hair on both sides of the face rather than the original having one side tucked behind the ear. Gotta love having options.
Bubbles Hair (Pink Ribbon Collection) by Arethabee
How absolutely adorable is this 2 ponytail bubble styled hair! So sweet and simple is the best description for this coquette inspired hair, especially with the added ribbon accessories. It is hat compatible and comes in 24 swatches.
Ria Hair by Arethabee
This Sims 4 cc hair is an industry standard for my playful and sporty sims. This simple 2 tucked ponytail has such a cute and fun look that borderlines on the effortless. It’s the perfect style for carefree, playful and athletic simmies. Available in the 24 EA colors with an additional ombre accessory add-on (read creators recommended tab for ombre accessory download link).
Russell Male Hair by Wistful Castle
Here we have a slightly tapered curly style for male sims. My personal gameplay is pretty realistic so finding hairstyles that match every stage of a sims life is key. So it only makes sense for that adorable curly haired child to grow up with that same or similar curly hair but with a more grown up cut. This hair is available in 32 color swatches.
Caro Hairstyle – Style 4 by Simcelebrity00
This is style 4 in a cluster of long straight hairs from the Caro hairstyle collection. Every Sims 4 cc hair collector needs a sassy long straight hair like this. I love the side swooping bangs the most on this half-up-half-down style. It comes in 24 EA colors.
Phebe’s Style – Galileo Hair by Yooniesim
The galileo hair is a gorgeously thick single braided ponytail for our child simmies. It comes with a headband overlay accessory that has over 50 color swatch options. The hair itself is available in 24 EA colors and unfortunately is not hat compatible but I love it anyway.
Beck Hair by Aharris00britney
This stylish hair comes in 2 versions, a classic thick ponytail and a claw clip gathered updo. They both have the loose hair strands gracing each side of the face and are hat compatible. Each hair comes in 24 EA color swatches.
Bianca Hair by Greenllamas
The Bianca hair is an oldie but goodie, this medium length loc’d style is one of my favorite hairs. EA did a pretty good job on the original male version and this longer feminine version pairs nicely with it. I also love the accessory hair cuffs that are available for a little extra pizazz.
Mairaly Conversion by Plutorienos
I’ve had the Daylife Sims original adult version of this hair in my mods folder for awhile now and have yet to find a sim to use it on but there was no hesitation when I discovered this child version! I’m a huge fan of these curly tipped braided ponytails. It looks so fun and youthful on child sims and great for a cool summer or beach vibe. It’s also hat compatible and available in 22 EA colors.

I have seen so many little ones starting locs over the years and it warmed my heart to see this cute starter locs style for toddlers.
