For those of you who don’t know, CAS backgrounds allow you to change the setting of your Sim creation screen, making it much more interesting, unique, and of course—aesthetic!
With the right CAS background, you can create the perfect mood for your Sim’s story, whether they’re living in a cozy cottage or a bustling city.
But don’t worry, I’m not just talking about any old CAS backgrounds. I’m talking about the crème de la crème of CAS backgrounds: Maxis-Match backgrounds!
These backgrounds seamlessly integrate with the Sims 4’s original art style, giving you a cohesive and polished look for your Sims.

There are a ton of reasons why you might want to download Sims 4 CAS backgrounds.
Maybe you’re a Simmer who wants to add some pizzazz and personality to your game, or maybe you’re a content creator who wants to create a unique and immersive experience for your viewers.
Whatever your reason, CAS backgrounds are an easy and effective way to add some extra flair to your Sims 4 gameplay.
Remember: you can only have ONE custom CAS background in your game at a time!

Milk Tea CAS Sims 4 Background Pack
The Milk Tea cc CAS background pack includes 12 solid colors in some super cute swatches!
I personally gravitate more towards neutrals and soft colors, so my favorites are Coconut and Lychee in this set!
Honeydew would make the perfect “green screen” if you’re taking photos in CAS to edit and want to cut your sim out!
Overall though, this set has some really, really lovely options, and some more colorful CAS backgrounds as well.

Old School Sims 4 CAS Background
The Old School Sims 4 CAS Background by LittleDica is one of my favorites!
It gives me big Sims 3 vibes, and I love how simple and clean it is.
It’s set in a beautifully maxis match room, so it fits my preferred game aesthetic perfectly. In total, there are 6 options to choose from.
The only difference is the wall color on the left, but having choices is always nice!
OshinSims Autumn Colors Sims 4 CAS Backgrounds
OshinSims is one of my favorite Sims 4 content creators over on Youtube!
Her gameplay style is SO cozy and wholesome and real.
It’s no surprise that she picked gorgeous, cozy fall swatches to make some CAS backgrounds!
THe perfect swap for sweater season!

Cinnasims Sims 4 CAS Background Dump
This Sims 4 CAS Background dump by Cinnasims is actually a recolor of LittleDica’s Old School background! Cinnasims added a little more personality and pizazz to these.
There are three options—2 “cute” swatches, and one “edgy” one.
My favorite is the one pictured above—it makes me think my sim is in Mt. Komorebi, with the mountain view out the window!
This is a great cc CAS background if you’re looking for a 3D room with a mirror that still has a minimalist style but isn’t too simple!
Warm and Cozy Sims 4 CAS Background
This is one of my FAVORITE cc CAS backgrounds! It’s simple yet feels so sophisticated, and the warm color tones?
The light coming through the window onto the floor? Chef’s kiss! I’m obsessed.
The Classic CAS room is one in a set of three.
There is a pink, girly swatch, and an edgy “scene” swatch, but the Classic swatch is my absolute favorite.
Cinnasims also included a set of CAS poses that work in the mirror, so if you’re interested in doing a photoshoot with your sims, make sure to snag that package file, too!
Beach Vibes CAS Background
The Ocean Waves sims 4 CAS background is perfect for Sulani gameplay!
I love how cozy and detailed this CAS room is—the old rug, the wall decor, the shoes stored by the closet.
It’s giving Lilo and Stitch, lol, and I love it! So laid back and casual.
This CAS room only comes with the single swatch, but it’s a super great option if you’re looking for those beachy vibes!

Earthy Aesthetic Solid Color Sims 4 CAS Background Pack
This set of cc CAS backgrounds is perfect for my ~neutral girlies~ and boho lovers.
This set has four solid color swatches in the most gorgeous earthy tones: cotton, moss, clay and oat.
I love the 3D room CAS backgrounds, but sometimes you just want a solid color!
They’re soothing and simple, and perfect for photoshoots or creating lookbooks of your sims outfits.
Minimalist Sims 4 CAS Background by Ellcrze
This minimalist room CAS background by Ellcrze is actually the one I’m currently using in my own gameplay!
I love how simple it is and how high-end it feels.
Ellcrze is the QUEEN of sims 4 CAS backgrounds, and she never misses on the details. Just look at that sweater hanging off the mirror!
Moving Day CAS Background by Ellcrze
This sims 4 CAS background is moving day themed, and I LOVE the storytelling potential of this cc room!
All the clutter and details make me so freaking happy. Ellcrze’s knocks it out of the park yet again!
This CAS background would be perfect to use for a photoshoot or to take some great stills of your sims.
Or if you really like matching your CAS background to your gameplay and you’ve got a messy sim, or a sim who’s about to leave for uni!
Aloha Sims 4 CAS Background by Ellcrze
The Aloha custom CAS room is another beach-themed background, and I love it!
This one is a little more detailed than the Ocean Waves one I shared above, although both have a similar aesthetic.
Some people prefer simpler CAS backgrounds, so I made sure to include both options. 🙂
Personally, I love all the clutter and detail in this custom CAS background! It feels like you’re right inside a beach shack on the beautiful coasts of Sulani.
The lighting in this one is stunning, too!

Where are my bookish girlies at?! This custom CAS background is for you!
It’s giving biiig academia vibes, and I love it.

The Euphoria custom CAS background pack is such a unique, cool set!

These backgrounds are unlike anything else I’ve seen, and I just think they’re so neat!

Christmas Morning Sims 4 CAS Background
I love this Christmas Morning custom CAS background by Cinnasims!
It is all decked out with holiday decor, and tons of present boxes.
It’s the perfect background for a Christmas themed photoshoot, or just to get yourself in the holiday spirit around December!
Christmas CAS Background by Ellcrze
Here’s another option for a Christmas-themed CAS background! This one is for all my Ellcrze lovers out there.
I love both options, and could see myself flipping between the two during the holiday season. 🙂

Throwback! Sims 2 CAS Background
This CAS background is SUCH a throwback!!! It’s a remake of the CAS room from The Sims 2, and oh my god, it is spot on.

Cluttered and Cozy Sims 4 CAS Background
This custom CAS background is perfect for lovers of all things cozy and vintage and cluttered.
All the furniture and decor makes think of Grandma’s House or maybe even a resale shop.
Either way, this is a super cute option for your CAS background!
Life Is Strange Sims 4 CAS Background
This cc CAS background is actually from another game entirely—Life Is Strange!
However, I think the textures still feel like they fit in with the sims aesthetic, and I just love how cluttery and messy this bedroom is.
This one definitely leans a little more maxis-mix (a combo of maxis-match and alpha textures) BUT I think it’s super unique, so I wanted to include it!
Ellcrze Attic CAS Background
This cozy attic sims 4 CAS background by Ellcrze is so aesthetic!
I love the sunset out the window—it’s giving me Copperdale vibes! And of course, you’re probably not surprised that I love the clutter.
When I used this CAS background, I think I had a mod conflict, because my CAS UI was being a little funky—so keep that in mind if you run into any issues!
It seems to work for everyone else, so I think I had a mod that didn’t get along with this one, haha.
But I always love an Ellcrze custom CAS bg!
Messy Bedroom Sims 4 CAS Background
Here is another beautifully cluttered CAS bg option!
The lighting in this one is a little less immersive, and the textures are definitely maxis-mix, BUT I think this background could be really cool if you have a sim style that fits this vibe.
My current gameplay sim, Archie (I’m doing the Star Sign Legacy challenge with him as my founder!), looks really out of place here, lol.
But it’s still a lovely background!
Bonsai CC CAS Background
The Bonsai CAS background by Ellcrze is so, so lovely.
It’s simple and minimal, and asian inspired. Perfect for your sims living in Mt. Komorebi!
I love the textures and colors of this background. It’s just so incredibly peaceful!
Playroom CAS Background
GUYS. This custom CAS background is so stinking adorable! This one goes perfectly with Growing Together and the new infants update, IMO!
This background is a playroom, and cluttered to the brim with toys.
So perfect for family gameplayers, or a photoshoot with your brand new infants!
Vinyl Store Sims 4 CAS Background
This Record Store custom CAS Background by Ellcrze is SO cool! It’s so trendy and fun and creative.
And okay, maybe it’s weird for your sim to be getting dressed in a vinyl store, but this one would be perfect for photoshoots, or just setting a unique aesthetic for your game.
Luxe Walk-In Closet Sims 4 CAS Background
This CAS background is a classic walk-in wardrobe! Perfect for your bougie, fancy sims. There are 3 color options to choose from.
I love the darker one for male sim photoshoots! But my absolute favorite is the one I shared above—the bright colors are so chic and modern!
Sims 4 Y2K CC CAS Background
The Y2K CAS background is so pink and fun and girl and NOSTALGIC, I’m obsessed. Another amazing custom background by Ellcrze!
This one has such fun personality and would be amazing for photoshoots!
